We’ve recently launched a Community Research Resource Pack, created by us and The University of Brighton. The pack is informed by our research work with communities in Brighton and Sussex and designed to support anyone doing community research.
For years, community organisations have gathered stories, insight and experience to understand local need and drive change. We know that many of those organisations are looking to build on that expertise by developing their own research.
The pack is for community-led groups and organisations who want to find out more about their wider community and how best they can be supported. It draws on relevant research, including university studies, to create and open-source, user-friendly pack – designed for communities to work independently, flexibly and confidently.
It contains guidelines and resources to support community-led research, suggestions of how you might think about your project, the types of questions you could ask and how to put this into action.
At its heart, the pack is about empowerment. It recognises that communities are experts in their own lives and deserve the means to explore, evidence, and act on what matters to them.
If you would like a copy of the pack you can download the PDF from our website or you can get in touch with us if you would like more details about ordering physical copies for your organisation or group.
