Hundreds Expected for Youth Festival in Wild Park Youngsters across the city have the chance to go zorbing for free in beautiful Wild Park. On Sunday 28th June, Wild Park Youth Festival 2015 will take place, as part of the TAKEPART Festival of Sport and Activity. The aim is to encourage young people to get more active. The festival is expected to attract hundreds of children, young people and their families to one of the city’s most stunning public parks. Jordan Back, 16, recalls last year’s event, “Last year’s festival was amazing, it was really nice to feel such a buzz around the community. I’m really looking forward to seeing what will happen this year as it’s meant to be even bigger and better”. This is the third year that the Wild Park Youth Festival will be taking place courtesy of the Brighton & Hove Youth Collective and the Council’s “Active for Life” Sports Development Team. Over 20 different organisations will be showcasing what they do. A huge range of activities will be on offer from aerobics to zorbing and skating to yoga. As well as food, music and prizes. All for free if you are aged 10 to 19! There will also be 5-a-side football tournament brought to us by Albion in the Community, with prizes for winning teams. “Young people in this City deserve fun, educational and engaging things to do in their leisure time. We’re happy to be sponsoring what should be an incredible event!” says Adam Muirhead of the Trust for Developing Communities, also a member of the Brighton & Hove Youth Collective and an organiser of the event. If you would like to attend then rock up on the day between 12noon and 5pm, where 10 – 19 year olds can complete a registration form to receive their free Wild Park Youth Festival wristband. Parental consent will be sought by the registration team on the day. If you would like any further information please contact: [email protected] Learn more at: www.brightonsummer.co.uk
