The Youth Sports festival is a yearly sports Festival for young people, the festival is run by The Trust for Developing Communities in partnership with Freedom leisure which is based at Moulsecoomb Leisure Centre. This year the sports festival will be running on the 16th of June from 12:30 until 5:30 and will take place at the Leisure Centre and the 67 Centre. The Festival is open to any young person above the age of 11 whether they have an interest in sport or not, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
There will be lots of activities and sports taking place throughout the afternoon some of these will include:
* Football
* Monkey Climbing
* Disco golf
* Circuits
* Dance Fitness
* Table Tennis and many more
As well as all of these sports activities there will be a BBQ, music and a smoothie bike available.
A full programme of what is happening throughout the day will be available on the day of the sports festival. This programme will be able to tell you more about the festival and what other activities there will be – all of which will be free.
As well as all the activities that will be taking place throughout the festival Brighton and Hove Council’s skate park team will be there throughout the afternoon with their mobile skate park. They hope to talk to young people about the possibility of having a more permanent skate park in Moulsecoomb and gather thoughts and ideas about it.
