Our last “Finding Your Way” course, a six-week program designed to help adults explore new pathways into work, volunteering, and learning, ran over autumn and winter of 2024. We delivered three courses and welcomed 32 participants eager to gain new skills and confidence.
Throughout the course, we covered important topics like identifying strengths, gaining confidence, setting career goals, staying motivated, and improving job applications and interview skills. We also discussed the benefits of volunteering as a way to build experience and expand networks.
One participant said
I liked the course so much. I feel more confident in job searching now. I think the knowledge gained in the course will help me pass job interviews and get my desired job. Also, I feel more confident in setting goals now. The course inspired me to develop myself in my hobby. I hope I will have good results because now I know what to do.
The course was free, with travel and childcare costs covered, and was funded by The Shared Prosperity Fund of Brighton & Hove City Council. We’re so proud of all the participants who took part and look forward to offering more opportunities like this in the future.
