On Saturday 1st September TDC were thrilled to be involved in the Park Life Big Picnic, organised by a group of families in Whitehawk to raise awareness of their campaign to improve their local parks.
Park Life are engaging local residents to fight for better parks facilities for local children and the picnic next to St Cuthmann’s Church saw lots of local people come along to enjoy games, sports and music as well as take part in a consultation on what they would like to see from their parks.
TDC were there hosting the smoothie bike – tempting families with delicious, healthy drinks and encouraging them to get fit at the same time. The TDC youth team are engaged in the Whitehawk area on detached youth work as well as running the recently launched Whitehawk Inn Youth café. We have also been enjoying attending plenty of local community festivals such as this one.
