The Big Dish Out is a unique initiative, as ONLY teenagers from Moulsecoomb, Coldean and Bevendean could vote.

The benefits for the participants include – Session run by Qualified Football coaches – Fun, Friendly and inclusive – Chances to meet new friends Opportunities to keep fit & Keeps people out of trouble.
Moulsecoomb Chomp Lunch Club – LARGE BID £3,000
[pb_videoshowcase group=”1″ theme=”light_rounded”]We’re proposing to set up a Moulsecoomb Chomp Lunch Club for families and young people that need extra help during the school holidays. What this will look like is to be shaped by young people in Moulsecoomb – getting involved in the marketing, planning, cooking and activities to build on a healthy and fun community. We would use our funding to pay for regular lunches over the summer holidays, art and craft resources, promoting our activities in the local area and some sessional worker support. Falmer Girls Football Club – SMALL BID £750

‘MY CLUB’ Moulsecoomb Youth – SMALL BID £1,000

We’re applying to the ‘small group’ pot for: Activities – a Volley ball net & craft resources (£150)Refreshments – pizza and hot chocolate (£100) Prizes – for the winners of the weekly team challenge (£250)
and Trips for our club -as we would like to have more adventurous trips. (£500). Please vote for us!
26th B’ton Boys Brigade & Girls Association – SMALL BID £950
[pb_videoshowcase group=”2″ theme=”light_rounded”]We are run by volunteers and our Tuesday club offers local teenagers the chance to get involved with new, fun activities ranging from ‘Drill’ and drumming to cookery and dance. Please vote for us to help us to continue – venue hire, insurance and other costs need to be covered and this funding would be a great help!
RAW moulsecoomb Youth Group – SMALL BID £750
[pb_videoshowcase group=”6″ theme=”light_rounded”]We are a youth group that meet in St. George’s hall, Moulsecoomb every Wednesday evening in term time. We do a number of activities including craft, cooking, games, sport, trips out. We would like to be able to encourage more youth from the estate to come along. Therefore it would be beneficial for us to have extra money to be able to cater for more people & take them all out on trips. Please vote for our worthy project!
Brighton Film School – LARGE BID £3,000

We would use the £3000, to ensure that 30 young people from Moulsecoomb, Bevendean and Coldean have access to our cameras, studio and Mac suite for a 10 week course in filmmaking, music video production or documentary. Your future is film. Young people will have the opportunity to make a short film, music video or documantary and spring board their career or college application into the creative arts.
Adventure Unlimited Archery Project – LARGE BID £2,962
[pb_videoshowcase group=”4″ theme=”light_rounded”]At Adventure Unlimited we run a huge range of fun activities and would like to offer Archery for young people in Moulsecoomb. If we get enough votes then we will bring FREE archery sessions to Moulsecoomb Leisure Centre. Please vote for us!
Bevendean Young Women’s Group – SMALL BID £800

We do fun stuff like film making, music making, recycled fashion, art and dance and this money would meant that we could carry on for another year. Your vote would mean a huge amount. Thank you 🙂
Moulsecoomb Bike Club – SMALL BID £500
[pb_videoshowcase group=”0″ theme=”light_rounded”]This club is mostly run by volunteers and gets local teenagers fixing up bikes to sell to the community. The group would use this funding to help pay for some mountain biking outings in the summer holidays. Anything left over would go towards spare bike parts for the club.
Coldean Youth Group – SMALL BID £850
[pb_videoshowcase group=”11″ theme=”light_rounded”]Coldean Youth Club has been running for 7 years supported by local volunteers and young people. We have two fun drop-in youth sessions a week, as well as half-term and summer holiday activities. We are asking for £850 to help pay for some new sports equipment, arts and crafts, trips out and cooking resources as well as some running costs to help us keep our youth space. Please vote for us!
Moulsecoomb Forest Garden Open Day – LARGE BID £2,216
[pb_videoshowcase group=”7″ theme=”light_rounded”]Every year we have Open Day that is run by pupils that come to the project to show off the work they do. They work on the gate, do tours, show off their bushcraft knowledge, help cook pizzas, look after the
smoothie bike and serve drinks to everyone that comes along. We have asked for the funding to help pay for hiring the smoothie bike, pond dipping and bug hunts, bush-craft demonstration and film as well as sessional worker support for all the day’s activities.
Bevendean Activities Group – SMALL BID £850
[pb_videoshowcase group=”3″ theme=”light_rounded”]The Bevendean Activities Group (BAG) tries to raise money each year and put on a summer holiday activity programme, making things cheaper for the people taking part, eg. Thorpe Park trip for £12 or Paintballing for £10.
This money would mean more cheap activities happen in Bevendean and Moulsecoomb this summer – we all volunteer so the money goes straight on activities. Please vote for us!
